Violinist Ashley Martin is one of North Carolina's outstanding young talents. She is concertmaster of the Triangle Youth Philharmonic and the Brevard Music Center Orchestra. She is past asst.concertmaster of the State Honors Orchestra. She has won concerto competitions with the Raleigh and Durham Symphonies and will be soloist with the Cape Fear Wind Symphony. She plays in the Irish Band Celtic Wind and is a mean country fiddler. She is a student at Cardinal Gibbons High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Student Council. She is a student of famous violinists Robert McDuffie and Yang Xi. She plays on a Stanley Violin and has played professionally throughout the Southeast
